“Fadtastic” Re-design – Design Meets Functionality

April 12th, 2006 - General Design

Fadtastic

Fadtastic, the ultimate source for design trends has refreshed its style and layout to bring a “fadtastic” blend of design and functionality. Primarily an information focused site but also aesthetically pleasing Fadtastic has grown in popularity over the years due to its founder Andrew Faulkner. Andy Faulkner is an accessibility and website development expert and is definitely a web designer to watch – I’m sure we will be hearing a lot about him in years to come. Andy is a personal friend of mine and he helped me with certain areas of this site when I was first coming to terms with accessibility and building sites in DIVs (If you don’t know what this means don’t worry – its geek speak for a way of building a site so that it is accessible using CSS).

Andy set up Fadtastic as a resource for the industry and I think its worth congratulating him and his site which, I’m sure you will agree is a well presented concept. He has taught me one thing – accessibility doesn’t mean that design goes out of the window. So head off down to Fadtastic and read about all the latest trends and fads, make some comments and spread the word – incidentally you might find one or two of my articles on it…
