10 FREE Apps for Creative Folk!

Attitude thought it would be good to find some useful apps for budding designers and photographers. See what you think of the list we’ve come up with (in no particular order):

1. Snapseed

Unlike most photo filter apps, this not only allows you to transform your photos with the ability to add filters and borders but also gives you the ability to enhance specific areas of your image!

2. Dexigner

This app delivers the latest design news and competitions amongst other things. It can also acquire your location and show you a list of nearby design related places.

3. Instacollage

This great app allows you to create photo collages, caption and style your picture or collage and edit with pro photo editor. It features 40 creative font, 115 stickers, 43 borders and 46 adjustable layouts to name a few!

4. What The Font

If you’re ever questioning what a certain font is, snap a photo of it and WhatTheFont will identify it!

5. Cinemagram

Cinemagram is a fun app that allows you to create a ‘hybrid between photo and video’.

6. Draw Pad Pro

This app allows you make notebooks full of your own text, drawings and photo’s and export them as pdfs. Some of the features it includes are different paper, backgrounds, colours and themes as well as the ability to create blueprints, to-do lists, planners and storyboards. Well worth installing.

7. ColorSchemer

ColorSchemer is a useful for colour inspiration with over a million palettes as well as the ability to create your own colour palettes using a colour wheel or even photo’s for inspiration.

8. Dictionary

What could be worse than producing work for a client with spelling mistakes? Dictionary. is a comprehensive dictionary which relies on trusted sources.

9. SimpleMind+ Mind Map

This app gives you a mind mapping tool to help you structure your ideas- great for designers who want to visualise their ideas and plans. You can install a free version of this but for the full app, which allows you to share your mind maps, you will need to pay for the full version.

10. Evernote

Evernote is a useful app that helps you save any ideas you may have. It lets you capture photos, record voice memos, create to-do lists and remembers all of this across all of your devices.
